Job summary

Hyundai MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee Battery Module Assembly and Battery System Assembly, driving productivity and quality improvements on the shop floor in Montgomery, Alabama.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or science, 6+ years in high-volume manufacturing, and strong problem-solving and MS Office skills; you will lead teams, manage KPIs, and collaborate with engineering and maintenance to reduce downtime.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maximize production efficiency and produce high-quality products.
• Support issue resolution through root cause analysis and permanent countermeasures.
• Use problem-solving tools to provide rapid, sustainable improvements.
• Assist process engineering with part processing and scrap/cycle time/downtime reduction.
• Ensure adherence to standard data collection, documentation, and reporting processes.
• Coordinate efficient use of raw materials and ingredients in making products.

Job description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for Battery Module Assembly and Battery System Assembly. The incumbent also develops, coordinates, and participates in productivity and quality improvement. This role will work for MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC. (MNAe).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

• Based on understanding the product and equipment, maximizing production efficiency and producing high-quality products is necessary.
• Support issue resolution through root cause analysis, implementing permanent countermeasures, and an environment of continuous learning and improvement
• Uses appropriate problem-solving tools to provide rapid improvement with sustainable results
• Assist process engineering with part processing and troubleshooting for ongoing scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, and downtime reduction.
• Ensures adherence to standard processes for data collection, documentation, and reporting
• Coordinate the efficient use of raw materials and ingredients in making products.
• Manage daily operations through KPI, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement to achieve the KPI targets.
• Support and manage continuous improvement activities in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives
• Partner and Coordinate with Engineering, Materials, Maintenance, and other internal departments to resolve issues and concerns.
• Coach and mentor the Team Members on standard work, problem-solving, and continuous improvement and effectively manage their performance
• Ensure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent manufacturing experience
• 6+ year experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting
• Battery Systems manufacturing background preferred
• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience developing and managing Team Members
