Job summary
Eaton’s Battery Team Manager role in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced engineering leader to guide a cross-functional team of engineers and projects, delivering battery modules, packs, and BMS solutions while traveling up to 15%.
You will develop technical requirements, report performance, mentor team members, keep pace with battery advances, and collaborate with global PE-Battery CoE leaders to drive innovative, cost-effective, manufacturable solutions for Eaton’s products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience in battery cell technology, battery systems, battery materials, electrification, or energy storage systems.
- Minimum 2 years of engineering team leadership or technical management experience.
- Master's or Ph.D. in a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Leads and directs a team of engineers and projects to achieve stated goals and objectives.
- Monitors and reports on overall performance of the team and projects; establishes a performance-based culture.
- Performs design, modeling, simulation, and implementation of battery solutions such as battery modules, packs, and BMS.
- Develops technical requirements and creates technical reports and presentations.
- Coaches and mentors team members; stays current with latest battery technologies.
