Siemens Energy in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in batteries and battery chargers to join the Product Development team. You will design, specify, and integrate battery systems with other plant equipment across global markets.

The role requires a strong electrical engineering background, 10+ years of design experience, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a multinational environment. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical design experience focusing on battery systems and chargers.
• Advanced knowledge of standards for design, testing and installation of batteries and chargers (ANSI, OSHA, NFPA70, IEEE).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop battery and battery charger solutions ensuring compliance with standards.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, sizing tools, and FAT/test protocols.
• Support proposal and project implementation activities; participate in testing and validation.
• Collaborate with vendors and supply chain to qualify new suppliers and drive cost improvements.
