Job summary

Electrochem, Valdosta, GA, seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to lead the design of batteries and battery systems across rail, aviation, and telecom markets. You will manage a multi-disciplinary team, ensure compliance with ISO 9000, AS9100D, NEC, IEC, IEEE and other standards, and align engineering activities with marketing and sales goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10–15 years product design experience in Aviation or Rail.
• At least 5 years leading mechanical engineers in batteries.
• Proficient with Creo and Windchill PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers in battery design and systems.
• Coordinate with cell electrochemical team on new cells and systems.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, purchasing, and quality.
• Interface with sales/marketing to meet system requirements and manage project costs.
• Maintain CAD drawings in Windchill and manage design rules.
