Job summary

Fisica, Inc. is seeking a Specialist, Mechanical Engineer to lead full-cycle development of battery and charger products from concept to production in Simi Valley, CA.

The role focuses on high-energy-dense battery solutions for rugged terrain and involves close collaboration with Electrical Engineers and customers. You will support BMS designs, perform tests and analyses, and contribute to design reviews and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 5 years of experience.
• SolidWorks 3D CAD with Creo knowledge; ASME Y14.5 drafting.
• FEA simulations for thermal, shock and vibration; Ansys preferred.
• Ability to design, test and run experiments; strong technical writing.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Email, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle development of battery and charger products from concept to production.
• Design, develop, analyze, and test battery and charger products for rugged terrain.
• Support BMS designs; provide feedback on proposals with basic battery concepts.
• Collaborate with customers to capture requirements and present progress in reviews.
• Develop testing approaches; create detailed procedures and documentation; perform battery testing.
• Conduct failure and root cause analyses; support multiple programs simultaneously.
