Job summary

Fisica, Inc. in Simi Valley, CA, is seeking a Specialist, Mechanical Engineer to lead full-cycle battery and charger product development, from concept to production, onsite.

Join a defense-focused team working with BMS, high-energy-dense batteries, and rugged environments. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 5 years of experience, strong SolidWorks, Ansys, CREO and ASME Y14.5 skills, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 5 years of experience.
• SolidWorks 3D CAD with strong visualization; drafting with ASME Y14.5; CREO a plus.
• Experience with FEA simulation (thermal, shock, vibration); Ansys preferred.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle development of battery and charger products from concept to production.
• Design, analyze, test new and existing battery products for rugged environments.
• Support BMS designs; provide feedback on proposals and requirement analyses.
• Collaborate with customers to capture key requirements and present in reviews.
• Develop test procedures and documentation; perform battery testing in lab/test facility.
• Perform failure and root cause analyses; support multiple programs.
