Job summary

Mindlance seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering oversight for utility-scale BESS projects, from development through commissioning and handoff to operations. You will coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams, review design packages, and ensure compliance with standards and project objectives.

This role demands strong electrical expertise, experience with EPCs, utilities, and energy infrastructure, plus strong communication with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• 7 years of overall engineering, project engineering, or project management experience.
• Minimum 3 years supporting utility-scale energy projects (BESS, Utilities, Generation, Transmission, Substations).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for utility-scale BESS and energy infrastructure projects from development through commissioning and handoff to operations.
• Review engineering design packages, technical specifications, calculations, equipment selections, and construction deliverables.
• Coordinate protection and controls reviews and support grid interconnection activities.
• Lead technical discussions with EPCs, OEMs, consultants, utilities, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify technical risks early and develop mitigation strategies to protect schedule and cost.
