Job summary

General Motors seeks an experienced engineer to lead the creation, integration, and maintenance of real-time simulation models, including plant, sensor/actuator, and controller representations. You will develop HIL benches for BECM, cell balancing, diagnostics, thermal systems, and high voltage behavior, coordinating updates and hardware upgrades for new features.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least three years of experience in HIL/SIL, real-time modeling, and using

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field as listed in the job post.
• Three years of experience as a Software Engineer, SIL Software-in-the-Loop, HIL or related role.
• Experience with real-time model design and HIL bench tools (ETAS INCA, Lauterbach, CAN, Python).
• Two years of experience with HIL design, integration and hardware synchronization to simulated plant models.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation, integration, and maintenance of simulation models including plant, sensor/actuator, and controller representations.
• Develop and maintain Battery HIL models and benches for BECM, cell balancing, diagnostics, thermal systems, and high voltage behavior.
• Plan model updates, hardware upgrades, and test environment rollout for new features and SDV2 architecture changes.
• Ensure benches meet program timing, support feature development, and enable early defect detection before vehicle integration.
