Job summary

General Motors seeks a software engineer to lead development, integration, and maintenance of real-time simulation models, including plant and sensor/actuator models, plus Battery HIL benches for BECM, cell balancing, and high voltage systems.

You will plan updates, hardware upgrades, and test environments to support new features and SDV2 changes, ensuring benches meet timing and enable early defect detection before vehicle integration.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree in a technical field and 3 years of software/HIL experience.
• Experience with real-time model design and validation in HIL environments.
• Familiarity with CAN networks and scripting languages (Python).

Responsibilities

• Lead creation, integration, and maintenance of simulation models (plant, sensor/actuator).
• Develop and maintain Battery HIL models and benches for BECM, cell balancing, and HV systems.
• Plan model updates, hardware upgrades, and test environments for new features and SDV2 changes.
• Coordinate bench readiness to meet program timing and detect defects early.
