Job summary

Ørsted Group in Austin leads specialized electrical engineering activities for battery energy storage projects across development, construction, and operations. You will shape system design, SCADA/EMS integration, and grid compliance to strengthen asset performance throughout the lifecycle.

You’ll collaborate with development, construction, operations, procurement, and OT specialists to deliver technically excellent energy storage solutions and support interfaces with contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with battery energy storage system SCADA design and integration.
• Understanding of inverter-based resource requirements and grid interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead preliminary design, optimization, technology selection, sizing, and lifecycle modeling of BESS.
• Serve as technical resource for energy storage projects from development through commercial operation.
• Ensure robust integration with grid requirements, SCADA, EMS, and utility interfaces.
• Support project delivery through design reviews, site visits, and technical negotiations.
