Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks a Sr. Battery Cell Engineer to lead development of Li-Ion cells and testing for a global battery business.

You’ll work across marketing, project management, quality, electrical and mechanical engineering, safety teams, and manufacturing to drive new product development and supplier qualifications. The role requires a BS in chemistry/chemical engineering (MS preferred), 5+ years in battery design, and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• BS in chemistry and chemical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in battery or charging system design.
• Strong understanding of Li-Ion battery system design, test methods, controls, and architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, exercises independent judgement and works well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Develop cell specifications and support supplier qualifications.
• Lead new product development projects for Li-Ion cells.
• Support technology roadmaps and advanced quality initiatives.
• Perform cell testing and analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
