Job summary

CRG Defense is seeking a Battery Manufacturing Technician with at least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting to support cell assembly, production orders, and cell testing. The role emphasizes safety, collaboration with engineering, and continuous improvement within a dynamic aerospace/defense environment.

The position is based near Dayton, Ohio, offering a path to support next-generation battery cells for defense applications.

Qualifications

• Exclusive US citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years industry experience in a manufacturing environment preferred or 3 years in battery manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble battery cells on a semi-automated pouch cell assembly line and test equipment.
• Prepare chemical solutions and mixtures as needed for production.
• Document observations and report results with attention to accuracy.
• Set up standard test apparatus for cell and battery testing.
• Support maintenance of production and test equipment.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment using drawings, diagrams, specs, and manuals.
• Operate in a dry room environment (≤-40°C dew point).
• Collaborate with design and machining teams to develop tooling and fixtures.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
