Job summary

Saft is seeking an experienced machine operator for its Fill and Formation Department. Responsibilities include operating machines via PLCs, testing with manufacturing software, and assisting in electrolyte filling for battery cells powering space, defense and racing products.

Work shifts are 8 hours long, with first, second, and third shifts available. The role requires attention to detail, safety discipline, and the ability to document results accurately.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Additional technical training preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and basic databases.
• 2 years manufacturing experience operating machinery.
• Ability to follow written instructions and document results.
• Ability to communicate issues clearly to management.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain production and test equipment.
• Operate filling equipment, temperature chambers and various other test equipment.
• Maintain the work area and equipment with 6S standards and safety procedures.
• Inspect for product conformance and review electrical performance results.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and organize multiple duties.
