Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a Senior Building Automation Systems Project Manager to lead large BAS/controls projects for commercial and mission-critical environments. Remote within the United States (ETZ candidates preferred), responsible for design through turnover, managing budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams including IT/OT networks and commissioning.

You will drive risk management, update executive reports, and mentor project engineers while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering BAS/Controls, building automation, or mission critical projects.
• 4+ years as lead or senior PM on complex commercial projects.
• Certifications such as PMP, CCP, NICET IV preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead program and construction execution across parallel schedules.
• Own budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and earned value tracking.
• Chair weekly owner-GC-trade meetings and mentor junior staff.
• Leverage BIM/AI analytics to improve schedule certainty and delivery.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field OR equivalent industry experience

8+ years delivering BAS / Controls projects

Lead or senior project management on complex projects (4+ years)

Excellent client-facing communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
