Job summary

Kelso Building Services (KBS) in Denver, CO seeks a Senior BAS Technician to service and optimize Building Automation Systems and interconnected smart-building tech across diverse facilities. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain BAS hardware while engaging customers and mentoring junior technicians.

In this role you’ll leverage remote monitoring, analytics, and cybersecurity awareness to ensure peak facility performance, with opportunities to lead complex service projects and contribute

Qualifications

• 3+ years BAS service experience required.
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience reading control drawings and sequences of operation.
• Experience commissioning and servicing DDC systems.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair BAS control systems and field devices.
• Diagnose HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service agreement inspections.
• Support controller replacements, upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
• Validate sequences of operation and optimize system performance.
• Assist with commissioning and startup activities.
• Complete point-to-point verification and functional testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and backups.
