Job summary

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts seeks an experienced bartender to greet guests, prepare beverages, and promote house drinks while leading other bartenders. You will ensure service quality, manage cash and assist with menu design and promotions.

The role requires at least 2 years in bartending or mixology, knowledge of drinks and garnishes, and fluent English. Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a busy bar/lounge setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mixologist or Bartender.
• Strong knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments.
• Formal bartending training preferred.
• Must meet state legal age requirements.
• Must speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests pleasantly at the bar, promote house drinks and use up‑selling to maximize revenue.
• Balance cash drawer by counting and securing bartender's bank; handle payments.
• Contribute to new drink menus and support bar promotions.
• Promote teamwork and monitor service quality with fellow bartenders.
• Prepare beverages per standard recipes; coordinate food service with the restaurant for bar/lounge guests.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and escalate incidents to management when needed.
• Set up bar with liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes and supplies; perform pre/post-shift side-work.
• Inspect bar for cleanliness and equipment function; restock and replenish supplies.
