Job summary

Santa Cruz Seaside Company is seeking a Banquet & Event Manager to oversee the execution of contracted banquets, liquor, bar and events in Santa Cruz. You will lead the events team, coordinate with Sales and the Head Chef, and manage budgets and staffing to deliver exceptional client experiences.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience managing staff planning large group events including Banquets, Conferences, Receptions and unique and special events.

Responsibilities

• Oversees execution of all contracted banquets, liquor, bar & events.
• Leads, motivates, and coordinates the events team to provide clients with first-class event experiences.
• Works with Sales team and Head Chef to ensure that clients expectations are met.
• Controls the budget, quality of services, preparation of event venues, and the service of meals.
• Ensures the quality and maintenance of the event facilities and equipment.
• Forecasts staffing needs and works with Food Services and Human Resources to maintain adequate staffing.
