Job summary

Friedman Williams, a full-service New York law firm, seeks an experienced Banking & Creditors’ Rights Attorney for a fully remote role. You will manage a portfolio of sophisticated banking and finance matters, working closely with practice leadership while ensuring continuity through succession planning.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in banking and commercial lending, with strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a track record of delivering practical, business-oriented legal advice

Qualifications

• Significant experience in banking, commercial lending, or financial services law.
• Substantive experience with commercial finance transactions, including asset-based lending and syndicated lending.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated legal matters for financial institution clients.
• Experience representing banks or financial services organizations is desirable.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client-service skills.
• Ability to work remotely while collaborating with practice leadership and clients.

Responsibilities

• Represent banks and lenders in sophisticated lending and financing transactions.
• Advise on asset-based lending, equipment finance, syndicated lending, and secured lending.
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan and security documents.
• Advise on collateral arrangements and related lending considerations.
• Provide practical legal guidance on financing structures and risk management.
• Manage assignments and maintain direct communication with clients and transaction participants.
• Collaborate with practice leadership on ongoing matters and transitions.
