Senior Banking & Creditors’ Rights Attorney Remote NY
Job ID: 21461
Friedman Williams is working with an established, full-service New York law firm seeking an experienced Banking & Financial Services Attorney to join its banking and creditors’ rights practice. This fully remote opportunity is driven by succession planning and offers the incoming attorney the opportunity to assume responsibility for an established portfolio of sophisticated banking and commercial finance matters while working directly with the firm’s practice leadership.
The firm’s banking and financial services practice represents financial institutions, commercial lenders, and other business clients in a broad range of financing and creditors’ rights matters. The practice encompasses commercial lending, asset-based lending, equipment finance, syndicated lending, and related financial transactions.
The incoming attorney will succeed a highly experienced senior attorney who is preparing for retirement following a career spanning both private practice and senior in-house leadership at a major financial institution. The retiring attorney will remain available during the transition to provide continuity, facilitate knowledge transfer, and assist the incoming attorney in assuming responsibility for ongoing matters.
This position is particularly well suited for an experienced banking and commercial finance attorney seeking substantial responsibility for an established practice, long-term professional stability, and the flexibility of a fully remote arrangement. The succession structure offers a distinctive opportunity to step into an existing body of sophisticated work without the expectation of bringing a portable client base.
