Job summary

Ascend Bank in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to lead the Bank's Compliance Management System and enterprise compliance risk program, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer. You will partner with senior leaders to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate compliance risks while ensuring alignment with the Bank's ERM framework.

Strong regulatory knowledge, governance, and Board reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of progressive experience in bank regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Law, Public Administration, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CMS and compliance risk management framework.
• Integrate compliance risk with the ERM framework and policy governance.
• Provide independent oversight and challenge to regulations and controls.
• Promote a strong culture of compliance across all business lines.
• Coordinate regulatory examinations, audits, and information requests.
• Prepare and present compliance reports to executives and the Board.
