Job summary

Ascend Bank in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Credit Analyst to evaluate the financial condition of businesses and individuals applying for commercial loans under the guidance of the Senior Credit Risk Manager.

You will analyze loan requests, prepare cash flow analyses, develop loan offering memoranda, coordinate with Commercial Lending Officers, maintain accurate credit records, and ensure compliance with loan policy and covenants.

Qualifications

• Banking education, training, or professional certifications are preferred.
• Strong financial analytical skills are required.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Familiarity with automated underwriting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze commercial loan requests and make credit recommendations to the appropriate lending authority in accordance with the Bank's Loan Policy and Procedures Manual.
• Prepare loan offering memoranda by analyzing financial, collateral, cash flow, and other relevant information regarding prospective borrowers and guarantors.
• Assist in collecting all pertinent financial and operating information on commercial borrowers to ensure ongoing financial capacity and compliance with loan covenants.
• Maintain commercial credit files to ensure the adequacy of loan documentation and supporting information.
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records for each commercial borrower relationship.
