Job summary

State Street seeks a Bank Loans Settlements Specialist, Senior Associate to support its Trade Operations middle office for a major client. You will manage settlement, reporting, and control enhancements across the full trade lifecycle and coordinate with clients and market participants to reduce risk.

You will contribute to process improvements, partner with internal teams, and maintain accurate client reporting while operating in a fast-paced environment in Irvine, CA.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of investment operations experience, incl. bank loan processing/settlements.
• Working knowledge of LSTA/LMA par and distressed loan processing; large client servicing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process the full lifecycle of bank loan trades: capture, confirmation, funding, settlement, and post settlement follow-up.
• Coordinate timely settlement with client, counterparties, agents, custodians, and internal teams.
• Maintain trade status commentary, identify blockers, and provide updates via client reporting.
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, cash/position discrepancies, and failed settlements.
• Prepare daily metrics, aged-trade analysis, and risk indicators; identify improvement opportunities.
