Job summary

Intrepid Acquisition Holdings, LLC is seeking a Senior Experimental Ballistics SME III to collaborate with engineers on next-generation ammunition for experimental applications. The role includes designing and fabricating experimental fixtures, coordinating with military units and industry partners, and ensuring safe, precise loading procedures.

The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years in precision weapons/ballistics, deep ballistics knowledge, and experience with CRADAs to accelerate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of extensive expertise in precision weapons and ballistics.
• Deep knowledge of advanced ballistics principles and experimental fixtures.
• Experience designing load development and novel ammunition for precision applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, and assemble complex non-standard prototypes and fixtures for ballistics research.
• Conduct advanced load development and precision loading of experimental ammunition.
• Fabricate ammunition designs using loaders, presses, and precision equipment for research objectives.
• Act as a Range Safety Officer (RSO) and enforce safety protocols.
• Engage with active-duty military units and industry partners via CRADA-driven collaborations.
