Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in aerospace, mechanical or chemical engineering or related discipline.
• 6+ years of aerospace design/analysis experience; graduate degree with 4+ years; or 10+ years with no degree.
• 2 years of ballistics or solid propellant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead ballistic modeling activities and perform trades for grain design to meet performance requirements.
• Conduct grain design, performance analysis, and post-test data correlations using established methodologies.
• Develop processes and tools for the Propulsion Systems Ballistics group; contribute to technical roadmaps and R&D projects.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and training to engineers within Ballistics; review peers’ work for technical adequacy.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Program Management, and Engineering Leadership on propulsion system inquiries and proposals.
