Job summary

Safariland, LLC seeks a Ballistics Cutting Supervisor to lead a team of cutting associates in a production environment, ensuring precise workmanship and adherence to schedules. You will oversee daily cutting operations, collaborate with armor supervisors, and maintain safety and quality standards across the line.

The role requires leadership experience in manufacturing, strong organizational skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while meeting deadlines and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of cutting experience in garment manufacturing.
• Proven leadership in manufacturing or warehouse settings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in production tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of 12 direct reports, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.
• Direct the daily work of employees to achieve quality and on-time production targets in coordination with the Cutting manager as well as the Soft and Hard armor supervisors and managers.
• Evaluate employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and support their professional development.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on Soft and Hard Armor specifications for all products, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of materials and construction.
• Verify that all manufacturing orders are complete with necessary cutwork before releasing them to the respective armor departments for further processing.
• Track and coordinate the timely delivery of manufacturing orders to internal armor teams, ensuring seamless transitions.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the company positively.
• Establish clear performance expectations for individual team members and ensure accountability.
• Demonstrate strong servant leadership principles, supporting and empowering the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, promptly reporting any unsafe conditions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including guiding and assisting colleagues.
