Job summary

H&F Bread Co. seeks an Operations Manager to lead all bakery plant operations, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and manage financial performance. You will mentor supervisors, optimize processes with Lean methods, and partner with maintenance and engineering to ensure equipment reliability.

Strong communication and a track record of continuous improvement are essential. The role emphasizes food safety, regulatory compliance, and driving cost efficiencies across production and staff

Qualifications

• 5+ years proven experience in plant operations leadership in manufacturing/food production.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and operations management skills.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and efficiencies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing technology systems.
• Experience with ERP systems and RedZone or similar software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily manufacturing operations for efficient production.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Develop and monitor operational strategies aligned with goals.
• Ensure schedules, staffing, and resources meet demand.
• Collaborate with Maintenance/Engineering for reliability and repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance and downtime; run regular meetings.
• Support implementation of ERP, RedZone, and other tools.
