Job summary

Sanofi seeks a Scientist Bacteriology in Swiftwater, PA to design, develop, validate functional immunoassays for vaccine programs, including SBA with HC and BRC, in a regulated GxP environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on laboratory work, collaboration across cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior scientists while exploring automation to increase throughput and reproducibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with at least 6 years of relevant experience OR Master's with 3+ years OR PhD with 1+ year.
• Experience in design, execution and troubleshooting of functional immunoassays, preferably for bacterial pathogens.
• Experience with Human Complement (HC) and Baby Rabbit Complement (BRC).
• Experience training or mentoring junior scientists is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and troubleshoot functional antibody/immunoassays.
• Qualify and validate functional serological assays using HC and BRC per regulatory standards.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior scientists.
• Operate in a regulated environment ensuring data quality and timelines.
