Job summary

Sanofi is seeking a Scientist Bacteriology to design, develop, and validate functional serological assays for vaccine studies, including SBA using HC and BRC. The role involves hands-on lab work, collaboration across teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a GxP-driven environment.

The candidate will mentor junior scientists, stay current with bacterial pathogen immunoassays, and drive automation and throughput improvements in the Bacteriology group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degrees with relevant experience.
• Experience designing, executing and troubleshooting functional immunoassays for bacterial pathogens.
• Experience with HC and BRC, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot functional antibody/immunoassays.
• Qualify and validate SBA assays using HC and BRC per SOPs and regulations.
• Provide guidance and training to junior scientists and staff.
• Operate in a regulated environment ensuring data quality and timelines.
• Support multiple vaccine development programs.
• Work with pathogenic samples in BSL-2 or higher as appropriate.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
