Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate high-throughput backend platforms and shared services used by multiple engineering teams. You will focus on distributed systems, event processing, and scalable infrastructure, leading multi-quarter platform initiatives that raise the engineering bar.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience.
• Demonstrated track record building and operating internal platforms or shared services.
• Design distributed systems with emphasis on consistency, availability, latency, and failure modes.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++.
• Deep understanding of high-throughput messaging/streaming architectures (Kafka/Pulsar/NATS).
• Experience leading multi-quarter platform initiatives and stakeholder management.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to author technical design docs and present trade-offs.
• Mentor engineers and influence engineering culture through code/design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and build internal platform services and shared infrastructure used by hundreds of engineers.
• Architect high-throughput, latency-sensitive backend platforms with predictable tail latency.
• Build durable, replayable event-processing pipelines and asynchronous job execution platforms.
• Design and operate caching, rate-limiting, and request-shaping layers for safe scaling.
• Develop platform abstractions, SDKs, and libraries to standardize capabilities.
