Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate core platform services that support numerous engineering teams. Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience.
• Strong design of distributed systems with emphasis on consistency, availability, latency, and failure modes.
• Experience building and operating internal platforms used by multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build internal platform services and shared infrastructure used by hundreds of engineers.
• Architect high-throughput, low-latency backend platforms with scalable capacity.
• Build durable, replayable event-processing pipelines and asynchronous job execution platforms.
• Design and operate caching, rate-limiting, and request-shaping layers for safe scaling.
• Develop platform abstractions, SDKs, and reusable libraries for product teams.
• Establish observability, SLOs, and capacity planning for platform services.
• Lead multi-region, fault-tolerant, geo-distributed designs with strong availability guarantees.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems to improve platform reliability.
• Define platform-wide API design and backward compatibility standards.
• Profile and optimize platform performance for throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with infra, security and SRE to meet reliability and security requirements.
• Mentor engineers and lead architectural discussions.
• Produce design documents and runbooks for maintainers.
• Evaluate emerging platform technologies for strategic adoption.
