Job summary
CVS Health is seeking a hands-on Backend Capability Product Specialist to own the backend platform, API ecosystem, and third-party integrations for our SaaS product suite. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, business strategy, and market intelligence, driving scalable, interoperable systems for internal and partner use.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management experience.
- 4+ years focused on backend systems, APIs, or platform products.
- Proven track record delivering SaaS platform features at scale, ideally in a B2B/enterprise context.
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design, webhooks, async messaging, and modern integration patterns.
Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for backend systems, APIs, and data platform capabilities.
- Define API design standards, versioning strategies, and developer experience (DX) principles.
- Drive the vision for a scalable, event-driven microservices architecture with engineering leads.
- Establish and govern API governance frameworks including authentication, rate limiting, and SLA commitments.
- Lead strategy and execution for third-party integrations, partner APIs, and marketplace ecosystem development.
