Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Performance Engineer for Agentforce Operations to optimize the scalability, resilience, and performance of our platform across the entire stack.

You will gain intimate knowledge of the architecture and implement end-to-end optimizations to improve scalability and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline data models, improve asynchronous patterns, and build observability to validate results, while maintaining high engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience as a backend engineer responsible for performance and scalability.
• Mastery of Golang, GraphQL, and Postgres with proven high-performance optimizations.
• Public cloud experience (AWS preferred) and deep backend expertise across data modeling, API design, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose architectural problems across distributed backend systems and prioritize foundational work.
• Design and implement performance optimizations, infrastructure improvements, and data model enhancements.
• Raise engineering quality via pragmatic standards, guardrails, and practices to prevent regressions.
• Collaborate with product, customer, and engineering teams to align on impactful tradeoffs.
• Mentor engineers, share expertise in backend architecture, and raise the bar for team performance.
