Job summary

LiveRamp is seeking a Lead, Ingestion Platform Engineer to architect and build the next generation data processing platform, migrating complex use cases and ensuring scalable, reliable delivery of billions of records daily.

You will lead a distributed team of engineers, mentor juniors, and own operations and observability while collaborating with stakeholders to realize the platform vision. This role is based in San Francisco with distributed teams and remote options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong object‑oriented programming skills in Java, Go or C++.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers and GCP cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI.
• Ability to lead and mentor other engineers, diagnose and debug technical problems.
• Experience driving scaled initiatives and engaging stakeholders.
• Passion for building large‑scale systems and writing high‑performance code.
• Hands‑on knowledge of observability principles is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical field; or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: experience with AWS or Azure.
• Enjoy working as part of a distributed team and mentoring junior engineers.
