Artisan Studios, a leading digital innovation consultancy, seeks a Senior Backend Java Engineer to design and build the microservices and APIs behind client products. You’ll apply hands-on Java expertise across product development, cloud migration, and DevOps while collaborating with architects and designers to ship reliable systems that scale.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of Java experience and proven ability with AWS, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Docker, Terraform or CloudFormation, and Kafka.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java programming experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Technology, Spring Framework, JPA/Hibernate, Docker, CloudFormation or Terraform, Kafka.
• Experience building microservice architectures.
• Experience with dev-ops automations with multiple cloud providers and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and build microservices using Java, Spring Framework, JPA/Hibernate, Cloud technologies, and Kafka.
• Navigate and implement dev-ops automations across multiple cloud providers.
• Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders on progress and expectations.
• Proactively troubleshoot to deliver high quality solutions to customers and internal partners.
