Job summary

Twenty is seeking a backend engineer to build scalable Go services powering cyber and electromagnetic capabilities, ingests real-time signals, and serves high-throughput APIs. This role spans cloud and on-prem environments, with Go-based backend systems and graph models designed for performance.

You’ll collaborate with product and domain experts to transform operator needs into robust platform features, ensuring security, reliability, and operability under pressure for national security outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development building backend applications.
• Strong proficiency with Go and production services.
• Experience with graph databases and schema design for performance.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
• Experience building REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native deployments.
• Hands-on containerization and microservices experience.
• Secure coding practices and security considerations.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services in Go.
• Build high-performance APIs powering workflows and platform capabilities.
• Model complex relationships in graph databases and optimize queries.
• Implement event-driven systems to process real-time data streams.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for correctness, security, and performance.
• Build and operate microservices on AWS with resilience and cost-efficiency.
• Create and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, secure delivery.
• Collaborate with cyber operations and frontend engineers on API contracts.
