Job summary

Sprinter Health is seeking a Senior Backend or Full-Stack Software Engineer (5+ years) to build the core systems powering last-mile healthcare delivery. You’ll design and implement backend services, data flows, and integrations that route clinicians, power booking, and connect medical devices.

You’ll work on end-to-end features, collaborating with product, data, and clinical teams, and help evolve our engineering practices as we scale in a hybrid office setting with in-house lunches.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and scaling backend or full-stack systems in production.
• Experience mentoring engineers and overseeing large scale projects.
• Designed APIs, data models, and services powering real user-facing products.
• Led projects or pods end to end — from architecture and planning to delivery and iteration.
• Mentored junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Shipped features independently and in collaboration with product, data, ops, or design partners.
• Built environments where speed, reliability, and ambiguity coexist — startups or high-growth teams.
• Made technical decisions balancing execution speed, scalability, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and APIs powering patient bookings, clinician routing, logistics, and device integrations.
• Ship full-stack features end to end, from data modeling to UI and user flows (if full-stack).
• Solve scheduling, dispatch, safety checks, and error prevention at scale.
• Integrate with external health systems, telemedicine platforms, and medical devices securely.
• Collaborate with product, data, ops, and clinical teams to turn real-world problems into shipped software.
• Own projects from 0→1, define architecture, and evolve engineering practices as we scale.
