Job summary

Fusion Health seeks an experienced engineering leader to guide a growing back-end team. You will mentor engineers, drive architecture and production readiness, and establish standards ensuring reliability and scalability across .NET/C# systems.

Collaborate with product and QA, stay hands-on with code reviews, and cultivate a culture of feedback and growth. Hybrid on-site role based in NJ/KS with standard hours.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of hands-on engineering experience and 2+ years leading teams.
• Proven experience architecting, developing, and maintaining complex backend systems using C# across .NET versions.
• Relational DB design including stored procedures, indexing, production DB considerations.
• Cloud experience with Azure or AWS, hosting web apps.
• Familiar with Agile or Kanban practices.
• Coaching mindset; credible leadership from hands-on work.
• Bonus: Datadog, New Relic, Terraform, Angular, Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers through growth, elevating architecture, code quality, and systems design.
• Partner with product and QA to rearchitect key systems and drive complex initiatives from strategy to production readiness.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards that raise reliability, scalability, and craftsmanship.
• Stay close to the code through reviews, debugging, and leading by example.
• Build a team culture where feedback flows freely, growth is intentional, and great work is the norm.
