Affirm, Inc. is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, develop, and launch scalable systems using Python or Kotlin. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and analytics to ensure sustainable technical decisions and strong operational practices.

The role emphasizes ownership, mentorship, and high-availability architectures across the company’s ads-platform initiatives. The position is remote-first in the United States, with potential in-person onboarding and

Competenze

8+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
Experience with highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes.
Experience delivering major features or system components with clear technical plans.

Collaborate across product, design, and analytics to ensure sustainability, risk awareness, and trade-offs.
