GameChanger is a remote-first tech company based in New York City, building the premier platform for youth sports. We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to own the Subscriptions and Payments ecosystems, delivering scalable APIs and integrations with major providers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a software development role.
• 1+ years experience leading and implementing complex designs.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the evolution of our Subscriptions and Payments platforms, building the foundational systems and APIs that other teams use to deliver customer-facing experiences.
• Lead and collaborate on new feature development that supports subscription growth, monetization opportunities, and business expansion.
• Make thoughtful architectural decisions, lead technical discussions, and provide feedback on designs across the team.
• Improve existing systems' reliability, observability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Build and maintain technical documentation to improve system understanding and team effectiveness.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering teams to define scope, discuss tradeoffs, and deliver impactful solutions.
• Provide thoughtful code reviews that improve code quality, maintain engineering standards, and share knowledge across the team.
• Participate in an occasional on-call rotation with the team.
