Job summary

Wander is building the future of hospitality infrastructure with WanderOS, a platform that powers direct-booking sites and PMS integrations. We’re a remote‑first team hiring in engineering to own core backend services and critical data pipelines.

You will design and ship scalable TypeScript services, integrate multiple PMS platforms, model data in Postgres with Prisma, and ensure end‑to‑end reliability. Join a senior, ownership‑driven team shaping the guest experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building production backend systems with Node.js/TypeScript.
• Strong relational data modeling and SQL (Postgres preferred).
• Experience with third‑party API integrations at scale: pagination, rate limits, retries, idempotency.
• Comfort with async/event-driven architectures (queues, streams, workflow engines).
• Product mindset focused on host/guest outcomes, not just tickets.
• Strong written communication; thrives async/remote; minimal meetings.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship TypeScript services and APIs for bookings, quotes, availability, payouts, and site provisioning.
• Build and harden PMS integrations (Guesty, Hostaway, OwnerRez, Lodgify, Streamline, Track, Escapia, and more) with webhooks and rate limits.
• Scale ingestion and sync pipelines handling hundreds of thousands of availability records per hour without drift or double bookings.
• Model data in Postgres with Prisma; use Redis, Kafka, and Temporal for queues, caching, and durable workflows.
• Own reliability end-to-end: alerting, tracing, runbooks, on‑call for the services you ship.
• Collaborate with hosts, ops, and sales to turn real customer pain into shipped fixes, often the same week.
• Leverage AI tooling in workflow and write tests that hold up when much of the codebase is AI-assisted.
