The role emphasizes production-grade backend engineering, code quality, and collaboration within a distributed team. A strong foundation in SQL Server, Kubernetes, and cloud services is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years building and operating backend or data platform systems in production environments.
• Strong hands-on SQL Server administration: query and index tuning, execution plans, wait statistics, Query Store, and tempdb management.

Aufgaben

• Operate and continuously improve a self-hosted SQL Server estate on Linux and Kubernetes, ensuring availability, performance, and data integrity.
• Own availability and recoverability: configure and exercise Availability Groups, run failovers, and prove restores against targets.
• Tune performance at the query, index, and instance level; maintain baselines and automation.
