Job summary

Moody's is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate backend services powering AI-driven data products. You will own features end-to-end, from API design to deployment, with a focus on scalable, production-grade cloud-native architectures and responsible AI practices.

You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and fellow engineers to deliver reliable software and robust inference pipelines, while mentoring teammates and advancing engineering excellence

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering in backend services and cloud-native apps.
• Experience building scalable APIs, microservices, distributed systems.
• Hands-on with enterprise AI applications using LLMs and agents.
• Owns features end-to-end from design to deployment and operation.
• Proficient with cloud-native tech, event-driven architectures, data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and operate backend services and AI pipelines.
• Deliver end-to-end features with monitoring and on-call readiness.
• Build LLM features using retrieval augmented generation and tools.
• Collaborate with product, data scientists, and other engineers.
• Mentor peers, promote testing, and improve engineering practices.
