Job summary

Moody's Insurance Solutions is seeking a senior data platform leader to define the technical direction for a robust SQL Server on Linux and Kubernetes architecture hosted in AWS. You will own the reference architecture, DR/HA strategies, and security posture while guiding engineering teams through complex platform challenges.

You will drive the lakehouse integration, streaming pipelines, and governance frameworks, mentoring engineers and shaping a scalable, compliant data platform that enables

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software and data platform engineering across multiple teams.
• Deep SQL Server expertise incl. performance, HA/DR, capacity planning.
• Experience with SQL Server on Linux and Kubernetes Stateful workloads.
• Strong AWS experience across EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, networking.
• Lakehouse experience with Iceberg or Delta Lake in production.
• CDC/replication at scale with robust standards and maintenance regimes.
• Security/compliance architecture including auditing and key management.
• Strong backend engineering in C#/.NET with production code reviews.
• Experience leading AI initiatives and responsible AI governance.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and long-term roadmaps for Moody's Insurance data platform.
• Own reference architecture, HA/DR design, storage layout, and patch strategy.
• Define availability contract and lead recovery drills.
• Own build-versus-buy decisions and establish operational baselines.
• Own security and regulatory compliance posture with evidence.
• Architect lakehouse data flows with latency, schema evolution, and federation.
• Set 12–24 month platform roadmap aligned to business priorities.
• Mentor engineers and represent platform in architecture forums.
