Job summary

Intelliforce-IT Solutions Group, LLC in Maryland seeks a Senior Backend Software Engineer for Mission Analytics to design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java, build RESTful APIs, and scale distributed systems supporting mission data.

You will work with Spring, Hibernate, NoSQL databases, and cloud environments, participate in code reviews, and collaborate across DevOps, systems engineering, and UI teams.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph (must be active)
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizen; no visa sponsorship
• 14 years of software engineering on programs/contracts of similar scope
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related discipline
• 7+ years backend Java experience
• Three years cloud experience with distributed data processing environments

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services
• Make architectural decisions around service design and boundaries
• Evaluate when Spring/Spring Boot add value vs lightweight solutions
• Develop scalable, maintainable software for high-complexity mission environments
• Work with relational databases, ORM, and NoSQL data stores
• Prototype data-processing and analytic capabilities for DIGS teams
• Collaborate with engineers across DevOps, systems, and UI teams
