Job summary

Intelliforce is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer for Mission Analytics to build backend Java services, APIs, and data processing capabilities for high-complexity mission environments. You will shape service boundaries, select frameworks, and drive scalable, maintainable architecture across DIGS development teams.

You will work with JS/NoSQL data stores, relational databases, and distributed systems while collaborating with DevOps, systems engineers, and UI teams.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, active
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizen, no visa sponsorship
• 14 years of Software Engineering experience on programs/contracts of similar scope
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 7+ years of professional backend Java experience
• Three years of cloud experience supporting distributed scalable data technologies

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services
• Make architectural decisions around service design and boundaries
• Evaluate Spring/Spring Boot usage vs lighter solutions
• Develop scalable software for high-complexity environments
• Work with relational databases, ORM, and NoSQL data stores
• Capture and evaluate changes to DIGS systems
• Prototype data-processing/analytics capabilities
• Process mission data for UI presentation via DIGS
• Debug complex issues and improve services
• Participate in code reviews and maintain quality
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines
• Support broader engineering and prototyping efforts across the organization
