Job summary

Intelliforce is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer for Mission Analytics to design, build, and optimize backend Java services and RESTful APIs. You’ll determine architectural boundaries, evaluate Spring usage, and shape how data moves through mission environments.

This is a senior, high-impact role with visibility and collaboration across engineering, analytics, and DevOps teams. You will work on high-complexity systems that process mission data for UI presentation, leveraging

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph is required and must be current.
• U.S. Citizenship required and visa sponsorship not available.
• 14+ years of software engineering experience on similar programs.
• 7+ years on backend Java development.
• Three years of cloud experience supporting distributed data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java.
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services for DIGS capabilities.
• Make architectural decisions around service design and boundaries.
• Evaluate use of Spring vs lighter solutions as appropriate.
• Develop scalable, maintainable software for high-complexity missions.
• Work with relational and NoSQL data stores and ORM frameworks.
• Prototype data-processing and analytics capabilities for DIGS teams.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines and participate in code reviews.
