Job summary

Intelliforce-IT Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer for the Mission Analytics team to build backend services and data-processing capabilities. You will design and implement high-complexity systems, APIs, and distributed components that prepare data for mission-focused UIs.

You will influence architectural decisions, define service boundaries, and ensure scalable, maintainable solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams across defense-oriented programs.

Qualifications

• 14 years of Software Engineering experience on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• 7+ years of professional experience developing backend systems in Java.
• Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, active; US citizenship; no sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Four additional years of Software Eng. experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java.
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services for DIGS capabilities.
• Make architectural decisions around service design and system boundaries.
• Evaluate Spring vs lighter solutions for appropriate use cases.
• Develop scalable, maintainable software for high-complexity mission environments.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines and perform code reviews.
