Job summary

Kite is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale backend systems for a SaaS platform. You will collaborate with product, design and QA to translate ideas into reliable features and APIs, while maintaining high quality through testing and code reviews.

You will own architecture decisions in a microservices environment, improve observability, and mentor teammates to foster a culture of autonomy and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of senior backend experience in large-scale SaaS.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or C# in a mixed stack.
• Experience designing microservices and backend services.
• Strong SQL and relational DB skills with performance focus.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve backend systems powering ClassPass.
• Partner with Product, Design and QA from ideation to production.
• Develop robust backend services and APIs.
• Promote engineering excellence via automated testing and code reviews.
• Drive reliability through observability and proactive risk management.
