Langfuse, part of ClickHouse, is hiring a backend engineer to own and optimize the ingestion pipeline and data models. You will work on throughput, latency, and cost efficiency, while ensuring fast analytics in ClickHouse and scalable infrastructure.

You will design schemas, tune merges, and build features that handle massive data volumes, with access to the ClickHouse team nearby. Remote-friendly role in a growing team.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineer who gets excited about database internals, query optimization, and distributed systems.
• Experience with analytical databases, data pipelines, or high-throughput event processing.
• Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript and SQL.
• Interest in open source software and talking to users about scaling challenges.
• CS or quantitative degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own and optimize our ingestion pipeline.
• Make ClickHouse fast by designing schemas and optimizing queries.
• Build infrastructure-heavy features and related tooling.
• Test with real production data and compare designs before deploying.
• Scale infrastructure for future product directions.
