Langfuse is seeking a backend engineer to own ingestion, data models, and scalable infrastructure. You will optimize query performance and build backend abstractions that enable product engineers to ship data-heavy features quickly.

You will work across a distributed, open source stack, ensuring Langfuse runs reliably in cloud and self-hosted environments. This role suits someone who loves big data and high-throughput systems.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineer with a passion for database internals and performance.
• Experience with analytical databases, data pipelines, or high-throughput processing.
• You organize yourself and can ship impactful features.
• Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize ingestion pipeline throughput, latency, reliability and cost.
• Design schemas and optimize queries powering dashboards and UI.
• Build infrastructure-heavy features and support multi-environment deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship scalable backend improvements.
